I fully agree that the optimal number of articles would have been daily, but I also realize that you have on- and off-days. I sometimes decide to write on our personal blog and at other times I am into writing about the Apple Mac and maybe on another day about the topic of earning money online.

When you total all the articles I end up writing maybe 400 articles per year, but in separate niches. I do prefer the perspective of 70 kick-ass articles on one blog per year instead of people rewritting crappy PLR-articles to create tons of content that is useless repetition.

Thanks for always motivating us to think further in your articles. You're doing great. :-)

@Mikkel Juhl, I would say that my filler posts are the polls I often do which are usually on a day that I have already posted an article and received some sort of response.

Early on I am trying to come up with as many posts as possible to flood my archives. This way I can come back and see if I can expand on any article. Basically, I just write about all of my ideas at first so their is high quantity, but still need to keep in mind that they cannot be totally poor quality.

Hi Mikkel,

There are so many things that come into play here. The main one is time. I am spending an hour per day at the moment on content. So a post per day is ideal, but if you do that everyday, you can run out of steam.

I am writing one a day to focus on building my traffic, networking is a huge component as well.

I love this blog post.

Hi Mikkel,

Good question, I tend to write a lot of content, in fact I'm going to write my 200th post tonight and am a firm believer it's the main reason I am where I am now.

Does it matter, erm... not really I don't think, like keith said some don't like reading huge essays like the sort Steve Pavilina puts out, but for me and my site it works a treat.

I prefer writing just one article a day. If I feel like I may have a surplus of ideas for the week I just post some on Ezine.

I have debated with myself even on one a day. Would it be better to let people savor a topic for two days? This might increase comments, but also could backfire if people visit the next day, and see the same post.

I try to post everyday, mainly for consistency, and sometimes I will post more than once a day if I am in a creative mood.

I try to keep my articles around 500-600 words because I know most people are not into reading 1000+ word articles, I prefer to break those up into a series of posts (many reasons for that)

Sometimes I do post "filler" on my site, like a funny youtube video or something, just to keep posts going on a daily basis.

I agree, and I will try to do that this week coming. I'm also looking at writing the articles a bit longer, so that I can get them better quality and not have to post as often.

Thanks for the advice :)

@Simon I just think you need to keep the quality in the posts, so if you only have the energy for writing 2 kick-ass articles then stay with 2, instead of 3.
