Must Have Pages For Your Blog

I have created a little list of the pages you should have written on your blog – or at least some of them. I do not have every one of those pages – but I’m working on it. You should not add every single static page – but at least consider some pages.

If you don’t know you can create a page inside the WordPress control panel (dashboard). You just need to go a bit above the ‘Posts’ tab – to ‘Pages’ tab – and then click ‘Add New’ – and that’s it. Then just start writing.

Must Have Pages for Your Blog

1. About page – This is hard to write a very good and appealing about page. I’m going deeper on this topic later this month. It is not only the hardest page you will ever write – because it is also the most important page to have. So this really is a must have page. A good about me page is a page that can build relationships. People go to the about me page, because they want to learn something about you (it’s the page most visited page of my blog.) So the newcomers are probably going to visit your about me page.

I would place a subscribe to this blog button on that page – because people may come to your about me page – and like the story and then they want to subscribe (but as I said more on this later this month)

2. Contact Page – A contact page is a really must have page – when I just started blogging I didn’t thought that it was that important – but it is. People may want to contact you, to offer you a partnership (blog buddy) – and it really is gold when you are building relationships with others, especially other bloggers. Your contact page is also the way to build relationships online, which is important.

You can easily use a plugin called Contact – just search in the ‘Plugins’ tabs to get the plugin.

3. Profile page – this is quite important – I have mixed this page together with my contact page. It’s a page where you have all your social media profiles on (which is ideally to build relationships.) I love to build relationships over social media, especially Twitter.

So feel free to connect with me on Twitter – I will follow you back – probably, just send me a reply saying hi ;)

4. Newsletter Page – is isn’t a must (I’m building a page for mine.) On this page I’m going to point out reasons why to subscribe to my blog newsletter. This technique should be far more effective than just showing the readers a blank form and a submit button (and with AWeber you can easily watch where the subscribers come from. So if you have a newsletter I would encourage you to add this to your blog (as I said I’m building mine right now.)

5. Service page – I am considering this kind of page here on DaneBlogger dot Com – because I want to offer a service, soon. This service could be where you are designing a blog design for your readers, setting up a blog or anything. Usually this is a place where all your services are collected.

I would not add a product to the service page only if you provide a service, where you do something (not to make them read, listen or watch something.) So services you offer, it can be quite effective this way. This is also a page where you should go a bit in dept with – tell what you really do and what you want to offer.

6. Testimonial Page – This is a page where you are showing off all the testimonials you’ve got overtime – I do this at my about me page (and this is just a few testimonials – feel free to send me one using the contact page (you may be included on my about page) .) This is also a good page to have – it also gives you a certain credibility.

7. Projects – this is a page where you show off your upcoming projects and/or your projects that you have finished (could be ebooks, courses etc.) This is a page I consider.

So your “homework” is to think about which pages you want to be added on your blog – or if you want to improve your pages.

Enjoy your day!

  4. I have almost all of the 7 pages you mentioned. I don’t have a newsletter or a testimonial page. Might think about those now and see what I can come up with.
