I am so guilty of following all of my fav bloggers. That I have started a blog where I interview bloggers that have been either successful or maybe they are just starting out. The one thing I am very guilty of is I am never happy with my theme. I change it all the time whether it just be a little css here or there or a completely whole new theme. There are so many choices one just needs to be happy with what gets them a blog that is readable and leave it at that. I am a fan of constant change and I think that is what hurts me some times when it comes to themes. I really did like your points from above though. Good work. I will take some of them and implement them in to my own blog.

Good article, Shirley. :-)

Indeed taking action is quite a challenge for the majority of wannabe-IMs. The main reason they fail is indeed that they can see the points you make, but they fail to implement it on their own blogs and websites.

Keep up the good work, Shirley. :-)

There's also a balance to be had between "implementing" and "tinkering". It's definitely good to find value in what you read and apply it specifically to your unique situation - but you also must *commit* to what you're doing.

Many people are impatient and expect results to come within a week - hence the infatuation to read more in search for the "silver bullet". Unfortunately, most effective strategies need the aspect of time to work in your favor... concentrating on implementing one thing after another & remodeling time and time again just sets you back from allowing things to run it's course.

Don't be afraid to *commit* to something and live with the results, even if you find out you were wrong!

It's great to see Shirley over here on DaneBlogger, nice work! :)

Loved the article, very true. Today alone (around 1 hour online) I've already seen 3 articles which are really thought provoking; must be something to do with the festive season ;)

And, I agree with the points you're making here Shirley. I mean, so many bloggers seem to be a fountain of knowledge in their articles, yet, if I'm honest, their blogs are still of a low quality. If you've got the knowledge from other articles, the next (and most important thing) you need to do is to implement these tips, otherwise not only is it ironic for you to be spreading that knowledge, but it's also a waste!
